I build e-commerce experiences on Shopify — migrations, custom themes, and storefront features engineered to convert. Here is some of the work:
Selected work
(drag sideways)
DC Way
A full WordPress to Shopify migration, rebuilt from scratch rather than converted. Every core user flow was recreated on Shopify’s own model while the brand’s existing identity carried over untouched — the same store to a returning customer, a different machine underneath.

Cleopatra Skincare
Substantial parts of this storefront are written, not assembled. Where a stock theme would have pushed the brand into its own layout, custom sections were built to the store’s design instead — so the page structure follows the products rather than the template.

Rau Socks
A custom theme with a B2B system on top of it: wholesale buyers get their own pricing and ordering path without a second storefront to maintain. The brand visuals were produced with AI assistance and then tuned by hand, deliberately away from the generic AI look.

Chasovnika Winery
A multilingual storefront where the language layer was built properly — the structure set up on Shopify’s own localization model, and every translation worked individually instead of dropping in raw machine output. The second language reads like it was written, not converted.

AloMama
A Best Sellers section that works out the store’s top three selling products on its own and keeps itself current — no monthly curation, and no one having to remember to update a hand-picked list when the catalogue moves.

Dözze Coffee & Roastery
Storefront sections written from scratch rather than assembled out of a theme’s stock blocks. Each one was built around what its page actually had to do, so the roastery’s own layout drives the store instead of the template’s.

Anatolian Pet
Dynamic and static storefront structures built side by side, including a gift system written in code — the kind normally rented monthly as an app, here owned outright by the store and free of a third-party script. Ongoing work.

Ajazz Türkiye
Custom banners and the sections that carry them, produced together — artwork designed with the layout it lives in rather than dropped into a fixed slot, so campaigns can change without the page falling apart.
More work
(hover to hold)AYB Mechatronics
An auto-parts storefront has to answer one question fast: does this fit my car? The theme was coded around that, with a dedicated description area where sample and specification details sit exactly where a buyer goes looking for them.
visitGumitamin
Bundles on Shopify usually mean a monthly subscription to an app. This one was written into the theme instead — multi-product bundles that behave like native products, with no recurring fee and no third-party script sitting in front of the storefront.
visitMarina TR
Menu architecture reworked across the storefront, plus the specific features the store asked for coded straight into the theme rather than bolted on — the behaviour they wanted is part of the store, not an app sitting on top of it.
visitLivessa Hotelbedarf
Shopify wants to sell one unit at a time; a hotel supplier sells in tens. Instead of renting an app, 10, 20 and 30-piece packs were built in code as products in their own right, each carrying its own automatic discount — a wholesale buyer picks a pack, not a quantity field set to 30.
visitParlome
A coming-soon page treated as part of the storefront rather than a placeholder — the first thing a visitor sees while the store is being prepared, and the first impression the brand makes.

visitRobotacs
A spare-parts catalogue is only as good as its taxonomy. The store’s category structure was built out in depth, so a shopper who knows the exact part reaches it in a couple of clicks and one who doesn’t can narrow their way down to it.
visitNaim Bıçakçı
Cart upsell built after looking at how add-on purchases actually behave, rather than dropping in a generic widget — an offer at the moment the customer is already committed, backed by a set of custom fields that let the store control what gets shown where.
visitEkin Varon Studio
Shipping rules and checkout steps configured around how the studio actually ships — rates, zones and the order of the flow set up so that what a customer sees at the last step is what happens after they pay.
visitWudy Kitchen
Storefront navigation set up end to end — menu structure, ordering and grouping shaped so the catalogue reads as one clear path instead of a nested list a visitor gives up on.
visitOtomobil Yedek Parçam
An n8n pipeline that turns a part name into a finished listing: product visuals generated from the name, SEO copy written by an AI model, and both uploaded to the store without anyone opening the admin. Catalogue work that is normally typed in by hand, running on its own.

How I work
I work directly with every project from the first conversation to the final implementation. I shape the structure, build the storefront, handle the details, test it, and prepare it for launch.
You don't explain the same problem to multiple people. The person you speak to is the person building the store.
One set of eyes across the whole project means decisions stay connected from start to finish.
AI is in the workflow.Judgment stays human.
How I use AI
AI makes drafts, variations and repetitive work faster. I use it where it saves time — research, exploration, debugging and iteration.
But speed doesn't decide what belongs in a store. Structure, brand fit, UX, technical decisions and the final implementation still need judgment.

Everything a store needs to sell well.
What I do
One developer, end to end: migrations, custom themes, and the storefront features a growing store needs — built cleanly and shipped working.
- 01Shopify development — storefronts, themes, features
- 02Custom theme development — built from scratch, not from templates
- 03Theme customization — existing themes, extended properly
- 04Custom Shopify sections — the sections your theme does not ship with
- 05Store migration — e.g. WordPress to Shopify
- 06Custom storefront features — dynamic, data-driven components
- 07Localization / multilingual setup — languages that read naturally
- 08ikas store setup & customization — expanding into the ikas ecosystem
How a build runs.
Every store follows the same four-stage loop. Each stage feeds the next, and nothing ships before it has been measured.
Your product, your margins, your customer. The brief becomes a measurable target.
Layout, type, and flows shaped around how your customers actually buy.
Clean theme code, custom sections, and integrations — engineered, not assembled.
Speed, SEO, and conversion tuning after launch. The loop keeps running.
“The smoothest, fastest freelance job I have ever commissioned. Everything was flawless.”

About
I am Şahan Öztürk — an independent e-commerce developer and computer engineer based in Istanbul. My client work lives on Shopify: migrations, custom themes, localization, and the storefront features a stock theme does not ship with. I am also expanding into the ikas ecosystem as a member of its partner program.
I work directly with brands that need custom Shopify development — one set of eyes across design, code, and performance, in Turkish or English, remotely from Türkiye to anywhere.
